These works take inspiration from textile design, specifically Susann Meller and Joost Elffers' book published in 1991, and the significance of the multi-faceted harlequin character, working with layers in the artist's signature collage style, mounted against a backdrop of watercolour on cotton. The Harlequin works are part of an original 12 piece limited edition series created for Baboushkini by Lisa Sandner, trained art historian and mixed media artist who works out of her studio in Munster, Germany. Mounted on cotton rag paper, these collages are made entirely from found papers. Framed pieces are flat pressed and dry mounted on hayseed, displaying the softly ragged edges of the work, with a choice of a textured white wood, or natural 100% oak frame.

Please note that only one of each original piece is available to buy. For the purpose of displaying these digitally, each artwork has been superimposed into a frame. In real life, the edges of each piece of artwork have the slightly frayed 'rag' effect pictured, but are even, straight lines. Please allow 15 working days for framed orders.
